Animals in Art
In the first task year 10 completed they were instucted to complete an expressive drawing of an animal that represents to subjective frame and demonstrates understanding of contour ine drawing
Women In Art
In terms 2 and 3 year 10 worked on a body of work that comprised of four artworks created to replicate how women are presented in art through differing media. They were to re-create a small section of Manet's Le Dejeurner sur L’Herbe, create a lino print in the style of Kathe Kollwitz, an interpretation of De Kooning’s Woman I using oil paint and oil sticks, and explore the feminist movement in the style of Barbara Kruger using digital imaging.
Human Anatomy and Renaissance Practices
In term four Year 10 were to create a body of work that demonstrated their knowledge of human anatomy and Renaissance art making practices. In this, they created 3 small drawings, one composition of bones, one ecorche, and one life drawing. In addition to this they also sculpted a ceramic torso, bring the study of human anatomy to life.
