Year 7

Assessment One - Monet and Japan

​Year 7 were to create a reproduction of Monet's Bridge over Pond of Water Lilies. Following this, they went to the Japanese Gardens to photograph the landscape, year 7 students then had to recreate a chosen image in acrylic paint on canvas in the impressionist style of Monet.

Assessment Two - Exquisite Corpse

For the second practical assessment in year 7 students were to create an exquisite corpse sculpture using dismantled toys to me used as a model for a series of three drawings. The first drawing was to be done using pens of three thicknesses, the second was a combination of charcoal and paint and the third was a combination of all techniques explored throughout the term.
